House Phones - Cordless or Not?

So do you perfer to have a cordless phone or a phone with a cord on it. I like cordless but your neighbors can pick up your conversations some times. I know if I plug mine into the wall and not hook the phone line into it, I can hear other people talking on their cordless phones.

I have a cordless phone, but I've never encountered someone else on the line. But yeah I do prefer cordless.
